Windows And Doors      by Mary  (May 2013)

Todd wanted to finish his personal commitment to the farm before moving, so he has busied himself installing windows and doors in the outbuildings.  He finally finished the windows - a total of fifteen - ten of which were in old siding, making each one different and difficult.  He also installed four doors.  What a difference this has made.

The guys are continually caulking holes, and we prime and paint every time we get a chance. Sometimes it is hard to make ourselves do the planting and weeding when we want to get at the painting, but we are well on our way to meeting our goal of having nice red buildings with white roofs by the end of the summer.  We are so glad we have the "before" pictures, and anxious for the "after."

Todd salvaged the good siding from the old "garage" and patched the front.  The multicolored wood is so pretty, we hate to paint over it. What was once the old chicken house, is becoming a nice building we call "the shop."
